Safeguarding in School

Safeguarding in education is the practice of protecting children from harm, abuse, and neglect, and ensuring their health, wellbeing, and human rights.

If you see or hear anything that concerns you, please speak to our Designated Safeguarding Lead (Mrs Helen Powell) or our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (Mrs Nicola Edwards).

The role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead is to:

  • Take the lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection
  • Support staff members with carrying out their safeguarding duties
  • Liaise closely with children’s social care and other services

If you need to contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead outside of school hours or in the school holidays, please email DSL@meath-green-infant.surrey.sch.uk
