At Meath Green Infant School, we place enquiry and exploration at the heart of our science curriculum. We want to develop and nurture all children’s curiosity by encouraging them to ask questions, confidently explore their ideas, take risks, expand their critical thinking and acquire scientific knowledge. All children will be exposed to an increasing range of scientific vocabulary and be immersed in science through meaningful practical activities and experiences which will deepen their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. All pupils will develop their scientific skills, including observational skills, looking for patterns and categorisation, throughout their time at Meath Green Infant School. They will be able to make links between current and previous learning across the curriculum.
